Privacy policy

What we collect

When you search, we may record the procedure code, ZIP code, radius, result count, timestamp, and basic technical request logs. If you create an account or alert, we also store your email address, a securely hashed password, saved alert criteria, and email-delivery status. We do not ask for insurance information, a medical record, or your reason for seeking care.

Why we collect it

We use account data to provide requested alerts and aggregate search data to improve coverage, identify empty searches, monitor reliability, and understand which procedures and areas need attention.

Saved searches and alerts

Browser-only saved searches stay on your device. Account alerts are stored on our server so they can work across devices. You may deactivate an alert from your account. Verification and alert emails remain queued until our outbound email service is enabled.

Sources and service providers

Prices come from hospital machine-readable files. Outpatient facility listings come from public CMS facility data and do not imply a price or endorsement. ZIP coordinates use the locally hosted GeoNames postal-code dataset under its Creative Commons attribution license. Hosting, security, and future email-delivery providers may process the limited data needed to operate the service.

Your choices

You can search without an account. Browser privacy controls can clear locally stored searches. You may request account or alert deletion by emailing privacy@cashpaypatient.com.
